Cherish a Memory

My uncle and aunt came to my home this Monday because they were going to America from Shanghai to take care of my pregnant cousin. I haven’t seen both of them for two years. But last time when I saw them I was really shocked.

They look much much older than their images in my memory many years ago. When I was in elementary and middle school, I spent three summer holidays at their home for my parents had to work everyday and had no time take care of me. My uncle was really serious since he has two sons but no daughters. I had to do my homework most of time everyday. All of the holidays were not really holidays; they were the darkest days I had ever met. I hated them in a long time for my uncle hadn’t a good relationship with my dad and his treatment to me. He used to be a smart and knowledgeable man so that he cultivated one of his son successfully who went to university at 13-year-old and got PhD at 24-year-old in America. But my uncle becomes cheap when he gets old. Even both of his son have good jobs abroad he is very abstemious and I can’t see it’s necessary. He cares about money too much and is afraid his relatives borrow money or ask favor from his outstanding son so that he doesn’t want to trouble anyone. However the result is the opposite and gives him a bad reputation among my family.

I don’t know how to describe the feeling when I saw his white hair and have to cough all the time because of asthma. It’s complicated. And I need to say my maths is good because of my uncle’s training before. I hope they will be good and healthy in America. They’ll be at San Francisco tomorrow morning.

The new song “Viva La Vida” of coldplay is really cool. It’s more upbeat and suitable for the ads of iTunes. Dave said Viva La Vida and Fix you were his favorite song of coldplay now. I also love the other songs of this album which called Lovers In Japan/Reign Of Love and Lost. They are tender. I feel a bit sad when I heard that they couldn’t come to Shanghai this year. But, this year is a really tough and odd in China. I knew that the south of China was suffered from flood. And hundreds of people are dead. I should be braver to hear this kind of news.
