I Need a Trip

Having a whole week's traveling topic classes last week，I cannot help thinking about my travel plan this year.

Well, I went to the Philippines this Feb. But I did nothing in nearly 5 months.
Especially I saw Dan traveled with his parents to Xi’an last week. Dan came from Boston, U.S.A. He has only stayed in Shanghai for six months. However, he has been to several cities of China that I haven’t been to. I’m a really native Chinese. Shame on myself. He did go to Harbin, Guilin, Yangshuo, Qingdao, Xi’an, Suzhou and Hangzhou. And he went to Beijing when he was 7. Furthermore he still has half a year and 6 days for annual leave. Westerns are addicted to travel. I have to say that I'm jealous of Dan. It’s a good way to escape the daily life when your work and study is becoming routine and boring.

So when Sherry pushed me to Guilin and Yangshou yesterday I was content. After I saw the photos which Marshika and Dan took in Guilin, I was ecstatic. I miss the feeling of escaping from Shanghai so much. I won’t trade it for anything.

And now I just have to think of accommodation, transportation, destination (probably Guilin), partner, duration, luggage… Even this makes me excited.

I downloaded an album called Music For Tourists (I think it’s indie folk) which is suitable for me now.
